I applied with Quicktate about 6 months ago and I finally got my invitation to start transcribing.
Basically, you get voicemail messages and u you type in what you hear on your screen and press send and it goes to the person it was intended to. Its pretty fun.
Quicktate Compensation:
We will be paying the quicktate typists based on the number of words they type, at the rate of 1/4
(one-fourth) US cent per word. So if you typed 50 words per minute (assuming
there were enough jobs to keep you typing for the entire hour), then you would
earn about $5.00-$7.00 per hour.
Note that quicktate compensation is not the same as idictate. Quicktate is a
quarter cent per word, while iDictate is a half cent per word. Accuracy is
critical: regarding names, do your best.
Again, iDictate Compensation is one-half cent per word. ($0.005/ word)
Quicktate Compensation is one-quarter cent per word. ($0.0025/ word)
Typists are paid by Paypal. The pay periods are: 1st-15th and 16th-end of the
month. Typists are paid within a week of the end of each pay period.

Well, they have been paying me on time since I started. I have not really been working here like I should but they have made deposits to my paypal account which proves this is a legit company. I have only made about $5 total since I started but they paid me. Has anyone else put more time into this and made good money???. Im sure that if I placed myself on a schedule I could probably make some decent money..
I’ve been typing with QuickTate since April, and I have consistently had $100-$300 deposits in my PayPal account every 2 weeks. It depends on how many hours I dedicate to typing and how many jobs are pending. There has never been a delay in receiving my financial deposit and the company is great!
I love this company. I have made this my full time at home. I just wish I had the will power to sit there all day long. Unfortunately I am weak
. But the pay is great. No complaints with them whatsoever. I cant wait to get invited to iDictate. It’s doubling my pay basically.
Yes, I do agree its a great company.. I like you Clinton dont have the will power to sit here all day but I do have to admit that they do pay as they have paid me for the few messages that I have transcribed. Maybe I will start to work for them full time instead…
The key to working from home is time-keeping and scheduling. When working in an office or outside job, you follow a schedule which includes breaks, lunch and meetings. When working from home with QuickTate, create a schedule for yourself. Follow that schedule and remember that you are your own boss. If you desire to make money with any work-from-home job, you have to be motivated and responsible. In this economy, consider the idea that you can get paid to type from home with QuickTate motivation enough. So set your schedule, follow it, and let the money roll in!
I earn around 200usd per 15 days… It’s no joke.. I spend 6 hours a day…
I applied to Quiktate but I’m not sure they got my application. Do they send out an automated reply when they get your application? If not how long does it usually take them to respond?
It can take up to 6 months to hear back from them….
Hi, can anyone tell me if this company still hires transcribers? Your help is much appreciated. I want to try out this company if it’s still in business and has no issue whatsoever with their transcribers.
Thanks.
Hi, can anyone tell me if this company still hires transcribers at this time? Your help is much appreciated. I want to try out this company if it’s still in business and has no issue whatsoever with their transcribers.
Thanks.
Hi josephtrans,
I applied a few months ago and 1 week ago was accepted via email. So at least right now they are taking in new people, but from the moment you apply it can take a while to get reviewed. Besides, they still have the sign-up page up, so I would imagine that means they are still hiring.
I haven’t started typing yet since I have a broken finger, so I can’t answer questions about the job itself…
Hi, all, I just finished applying for the third time to Quicktate because I was convinced the first two apps probably didn’t go through. Oops. So glad I read your posts! Hopefully, I’ll hear something from them eventually. I hope you all get started making some money soon, too. Good luck.

I’m still patiently (well, not patiently) waiting to hear back from Quicktate and your messages are encouraging. I have been practicing on all the digital transcription samples I can find. I’m hoping my skills will be good enough. Any suggestions on sources for transcription tests? Also, some of the stuff I’ve tried is hard to hear. Is this just me?
Have you looked into the other companies on my blog??… ACD Direct is currently hiring and they are responding extremely quickly.. Their peek season is coming up cause of the holidays…
