*So here it is, finally I had a moment to sit down and put these up.
I am currently working for 3 companies, one of which is customer service/phone call realated. There are a few companies that hire people to take calls from home. I have applied to all of the companies that I will provide you with below. Some of these companies get back to you right away while others can take several weeks, so if you apply to any of these companies do not get discouraged if you do not get contacted right away. I am providing you with the lists of companies here, however I will write reviews on the companies that I have worked for and am still working for and any other information that I have found on the other companies as well.
Companies I have worked for and am still working for.
www.ACDDIRECT.com – I am currently working with them. (keep in mind that any company thats asks you for money is not usually offering you employemt- ACD however has a $30 background check fee which is paid via Paypal. The fee is legit and they do this because you will be taking pledge calls and entering credit card information- so they need to make sure you will not be committing any fraud) I will post a more detailed review.

I cannot stress this enough. When you visit the sites please read them entirely. Remember if you do apply do not get discouraged if you do not get contacted right away.

Have you heard of ContractXchange? They seem to be more like Monster.com as they post jobs from companies that hire you directly? I wanted to give them a try, the pay seems very good and the contract is directly with the hiring company.
Can you let me know what you think?
I have never heard of this people but I registered to look around and get more info for you. I don’t think that the fact that in order to get hired you have to take a training course that you have to pay for which costs $75 is a good sign. If a company like Sears is hiring is best you go directly to them and skip this middle man. I cant say 100% that this may be a scam to make $75 out of you but for example. Staples hires people to work from home. I went to their website, click on career used the keyword HOME without City and State and voila I got job listings for work at home agents. Uhaul is another company that hires people to work from home. I also saw of this ContractXchange site the Home Shopping network, I suggest you go directly to the home shopping network site and do a job search, they also have opportunities to work at home without having to pay this fee. Looks to me like Contract Xchange may be using these big company names to get people to sign up for their training course. In my experience you don’t need a training course to work from home all you need is to have previous customer service experience, a reliable computer and a landline. The people unlike careerbuilder do not let you move forward until you pass their course. I guess this decision lies in the hands of the person willing to pay. As for me. I would not pay as I am currently taking calls for ACD and soon to Westat. I am waiting on Staples to get back to as I applied with them. I will keep you posted.
Congratulations Sandy. Just post a reply to the current thread instead of creating a brand new thread… that way when people ask questions they can respond directly underneath ur previous response. I have found many more leads which I will be posting as soon as I get a chance. I wish I had found places like this when I was hunting. This is the reason that I created this blog so you dont have to pay for job leads or get scammed. Congrats again on ur acceptance. West is a pretty neat place.
I have applied for and was accepted by TeleworkCentral.com and Westathome.com. thanks to this site. I would not have known about them. I’d like to update my progress on the forum but I am unable to start a new string. Is there a special way to do this? Thanks for the tips on those work at home sites. It’s hard to find legitimate work this way.
